Ameris Bank Bolsters Commercial Industry Expertise with New Hires

ATLANTA, Aug. 21, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Ameris Bank has recently added two seasoned veterans to its commercial banking team. Bill Kilburg has joined as senior vice president, relationship manager, while Patrick Murphy will serve as senior vice president, government relationship manager.

Kilburg, based in Metro Atlanta, brings over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, with the last two decades spent in commercial banking at BB&T (now Truist). His roles included senior relationship manager, market president, regional president, and middle market banking manager in Metro Atlanta and Middle Georgia. Kilburg is a graduate of Florida State University.

Murphy, with 30 years of government banking experience, most recently worked at TD Bank. He specializes in handling the unique needs of municipalities and is based in Jacksonville, Florida. Murphy will work throughout the state of Florida.
