Woman Impersonating People and Stealing Thousands from Banks in Western Washington: Detectives on the Hunt

Detectives in Western Washington are on the hunt for a woman who has been caught on camera going to multiple banks and impersonating people to steal thousands of dollars from their accounts. The most recent incident occurred at Coastal Community Bank in Woodinville on May 15th.

The woman, who uses a U.S. Passport Card with people’s names but her own picture, was able to successfully withdraw cash from the victim’s account. Aimee, one of the victims, expressed her shock and fear upon learning about the theft.

Authorities believe that the woman may be part of a larger group operating across different counties in the region. Jim Fuda from Crimestoppers mentioned that the suspect has targeted individuals in Benton, Chelan, and Pierce counties, stealing between $5,000 and $10,000 each time.

Aimee, the victim in the Woodinville case, hopes that by sharing her story, the police can apprehend the suspect before more people fall victim to this scam. She urges anyone with information to contact CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
