Bank of Hawai‘i has made significant changes to its leadership team, with Vice Chair and Chief Banking Officer James C. Polk being promoted to President of Bank of Hawai‘i Corporation. In addition, Vice Chair Matthew K.M. Emerson has been appointed as the Chief Retail Banking Officer.

Polk, who has been with Bank of Hawai‘i for 25 years, will now oversee both Commercial Banking and Retail Banking, as well as other key revenue-generating businesses. His promotion is seen as a testament to his leadership and commitment to the company’s growth and success.
